Art. 92. Failure to obey order or regulation
Any person subject to this chapter who-
(1) violates or fails to obey any lawful general order or regulation…shall be punished as a court-martial may direct.
Because of Trump’s brilliant (/s) idea to attack Iran and because he lacked Congressional approval, the JCS should have refused to support the idea because it was and is an unlawful order. The JCS was obligated to say NO. There would have been no punishment or they simply could have retired. It is a dereliction of duty to do otherwise.
But, no, the supposedly best we have to lead our military (Hegseth does not fit into that group), kowtowed to Trump and, so far, 10 US soldiers have lost their lives FOR NOTHING.
The JCS should be ashamed.
