Anyone who joins the military, law enforcement, or a governmental position (like the House, Senate, President) is required to take the oath of office. That oath requires us to adhere to the Constitution of the United States. Most of us still believe in that oath and support EVERYTHING contained therein. Most of us, but not all.
The President of the United States in response to a video put out a video reminding members of the military that they do not have to follow the illegal orders, said the following:
“This is really bad, and Dangerous to our Country. Their words cannot be allowed to stand. SEDITIOUS BEHAVIOR FROM TRAITORS!!! LOCK THEM UP???” In another statement later on, the president also said: “SEDITIOUS BEHAVIOR, punishable by DEATH!”

Donald Trump publicly called for the arrest and execution of his political opponents. Democratic members of Congress, elected by their constituents, received death threats from the sitting President of the United States.
It’s fair to say we’ve never seen anything like it here at home, maybe ever.
But we have seen this before. We saw it in the Soviet Union, in Nazi Germany, and under Mao Zedong. We saw it while we served in Iraq and Afghanistan where Saddam Hussein and the Taliban tortured and killed thousands of their opponents.
It’s bad enough that the president is calling for members of congress to be put to death, but it’s especially bad when the MAGA morons who don’t understand the law, start lobbing death and bomb threats to the members of congress who are ALL former military or CIA officers.
The Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ) states that if you are given UNLAWFUL orders, you can and should refuse. And is has already happened: Admiral Alvin Holsey, the commander of U.S. Southern Command (SOUTHCOM), announced his retirement after less than a year in the position. The reason is simple: he didn’t want to be charged with war crimes.
Trump and Hegseth bomb and kill suspected drug boats operators without any proof whatsoever. That is a violation of international law and opens both of them open to being charged with war crimes. How much of the Trump rhetoric is true? Considering Trump is the biggest liar of all times, not much. For example, none of these high-speed boats had the capabilities to reach US soil. There are too many unanswered questions.
But for the president call for the execution of sitting members of congress is beyond anything a reasonable person or president would do. Trump has lost his mind.
Remember the Nuremberg Trials? The claim that “I was only following orders.” didn’t pass muster and many of the murderers were themselves put to death.
